Celebrating 15 years of Park Stewardship


Fifteen years ago Neighborhood Parks Council (NPC) was a fledgling nonprofit founded by Dr. Isabel Wade with just eight grassroots park groups. Our vision was the same as we hold to now: To engage citizens in improving generic viagra their public spaces.

Thanks to our coalition of volunteers and advocates, like you, we became a strong, unified voice for parks, recreation and open space. Today, as we celebrate our many accomplishments we also look forward to an even more fruitful future. As you may know, we decided to partner with the San Francisco Parks Trust to create a new park-serving organization – the San Francisco Parks Alliance.

The mission of the Parks Alliance is to inspire and promote civic engagement and philanthropy to protect, sustain, and enrich San Francisco parks and green open spaces. This October NPC will embark with the San Francisco Parks Trust to form the Parks Alliance. Through our efforts, we aspire to pioneer the vision for a national model for park-serving nonprofits.
