Dear Marchbanks Park,
I have lived next to you since I was born. Even when my family moved to a new house in middle school, you were still in my neighborhood. Out of all the parks I would write a love letter too, you are definitely my first choice because your presence has given me a setting to express the several hobbies I have acquired from childhood to adulthood. Most of all, you were the only place I could go to to skateboard without getting hassled by anyone. This is where I learned the basic foundation of skateboarding tricks.
During my high school years without a license, you also provided a spot for me to bring my dates to after watching a movie at the nearby Century Theaters, I enjoyed that. On top of that, even when my friends and I stopped skating as much as we used to, you were still the connecting point between my friends and I where we could meet up and decide what to do for the rest of the day.
I first started to use the park heavily in 6th grade. Now, I am a college graduate and use your bottom level to play baseball with my friends. Marchbanks, thank you for being “the spot” for my friends and I to hang. I can only hope that you will still be there for my future little kiddos to learn how to ollie and bring their dates.
